CRICKET FANS !!

Started by: GOLDEN BEAR (6556)

I would like to know what if any of you who are cricket enthusiast's think about the idea being floated around regards the TEST MATCH SERIES'S with respect to if days are lost to bad weather should day's be set aside so as a result can be obtained ????
I have one idea which would be that a side is allowed to bat for one full day per innings then the aggregate is totted up and you have a winner ?
With the weather issue i could foresee a whole lot of probs extending day's but it could be looked at ,also i think most TEST grounds these days have FLOODLIGHTS , so extend the playing time in especially with the long nights one could play on to say around 9.00/100pm to try and achieve a fair result !!!

I think a spare day (day 6) would be reasonable to play the lost time over the previous 5…if it was rained off on day 6 then that would be the end and a draw given

Also a maximum of 120 overs (3 x 40 new balls) per innings in test and county cricket to get a better chance of a result like in the T20 and ODI games!

I have never seen the point of of playing beyond that number in five days when so many games end up as draws because of bad light or rain!

At the end of the day G B it would be S K Y who determined the re-scheduling given the M C C rely heavily on the S K Y money .

The wicket would certainly be flat but it wouldn't be too difficult to hit a six.

Sorry whups couldn't resist

I see th AUSSIES are now thinking of making a complaint in the last test ,ie they argue that when Englang asked the umpires to check the ball they then changed it as is and has been done in other test matches but now they are claiming the ball that we got thro a change was not the right on!!!
Both umpires checked and agreed for the change apparently they have a choice of a box containg around 6 ball from various over's in other matches . But they are not happy with the findings and now want the International board to look int it !!! I' m wondering does this come under
"SOUR GRAPES ACT"??? or what !! This after their shameful wicket -keeper behaving as he did with the run out of Bairstows, unbelievable those convicts !!!!G.B.
